I was trying to get out the vote for Barack Obama! He is such an inspirational candidate with an inspirational story and I wanted to make sure that he was in the White House for the next 4 (and hopefully 8) years. And we did it!
Believe It
I helped out the campaign in Norristown, PA for 5 days. WE did everything - made signs, canvassed door to door, talked to voters, told them where their polling place was, did a little phone banking and just generally Got Out The Vote.
Build It
I think together with the other volunteers we made a big impact. Barack had thousands (millions?) of volunteers on the ground and I think it made all the difference. The impact will be seen more clearly in the next few months as we see how Barack will govern.
How Can Others Get Involved?
Get involved! I'm hoping this election will be a sea change and we'll see people, young and old, volunteering and becoming more active in politics.

i called and canvassed too!! an awesome experience, met some of the most interesting people ever going door to door. getting invovled in local or national politics can be a lot of fun!
I just want to know what I can do now that the elections are over?
