The Problem

When someone refers to another person using the wrong pronouns, especially on purpose, that can lead to that person feeling disrespected and can lead to dysphoria, exclusion and alienation.

The Solution

Pronouns (like “she/her/hers,” “they/them/theirs,” or “he/him/his”) are one of the simplest ways of acknowledging someone’s identity. Normalize sharing pronouns by sharing our own first. This is an easy way for others to know it's a safe space and encourage them to share their pronouns with confidence.
