Ripple Effect

We offer the opportunity to earn scholarships by completing our volunteer, social change, and civic actions. You are eligible for our scholarships if you are between the ages of 13 and 25 years old and live in the U.S. (or are a U.S. citizen, but living abroad). We never require an essay, GPA, or recommendation to apply.

By completing all the action steps and verifying your participation in Ripple Effect by November 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET, you’ll be entered for the opportunity to earn a $250 scholarship.

In order to verify your participation and impact, we’ll ask you to “report back” by creating and submitting your Ripple Effect PSA.

The PSA should be recorded and submitted during this scholarship opportunity, from July 21, 2025 through November 30, 2025.

DoSomething scholarship winners are selected using predetermined judging criteria for DS members who completed the action steps and verified their participation in the action.

Please keep these guidelines in mind when you submit your reportbacks.

Winners will be individually notified by email and will be required to respond to initial notification within 72 hours. Winners of each action will typically be announced to the public 3-4 weeks after the close of the campaign.

Check out your DoSomething profile to make sure we received your Ripple Effect PSA by November 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET. A DoSomething staffer will review your submission soon, and we’ll contact you if your submission is not approved or if there is any kind of problem.
