Farewell From Tej

A Quick Note from Tej

Hey! It’s Tej from DoSomething. This is my last week texting you -- I’m starting a new job and won’t be working at DoSomething.org any longer. Texting millions of young people, like you, every week for nearly 2 years has been such an incredible experience. Whether it was actions like registering to vote, taking care of your mental health, or donating jeans for youth experiencing homelessness, we have done so much good for each other and our communities.

I'm moving on to start a new job at March For Our Lives, as their Northeast Regional Organizing Director. I'll still be doing everything I can to mobilize folks for the upcoming election and then, thinking beyond this November, building a strong chapter network in the Northeast. I couldn’t be more excited.

I’ll miss you all dearly and I want to thank you for supporting me as much as I’ve tried to support every one of you that has reached out. I’ve never believed more in the power of young people than when I got to witness the DoSomething community taking collective action to make the world a better place.

Who’s Texting Me Now?

Alisha, Campaign Lead

Alisha is a Campaign Lead at DoSomething where she manages our campaigns in a variety of cause spaces! When she’s not gushing over photos of members taking action in their communities, she’s hanging with her yorkie Max, sending wholesome memes to her friends, watching true crime documentaries or trying to figure out what her co-star app meant by the notification they sent her that day.

Adele, Campaign Lead

Adele is a Campaign Lead at DoSomething where she gets to work with awesome brands on executing impactful campaigns for young people! When she’s not running a campaign, you can find her binge watching a Law & Order SVU episode, reading a good book, or hoping on a plane to travel somewhere. She’s passionate about education, international affairs and human rights.

Maddy, Community Lead

Maddy is the Community Lead at DoSomething. She works with our stellar high school club leaders and VIPs (very important people), helping them become the best leaders they can be and make an impact in their communities. When she’s not talking to high school students, you can find her reading books about movement building, cooking a mean stew, or managing the instagram account of a stuffed pig named Petey.

Jackie, Content & Creative Strategist

Jackie is a Content and Creative Strategist at DoSomething, so she’s usually either writing actionable and inspiring content for our members or helping develop our next big campaign. When she’s not putting words together, you can find her playing video games, reading about the apocalypse, and perpetually searching for the best pupusa place.

Ben, Editor-in-chief

As the Editor-in-chief, Ben oversees the content and creative strategy for DoSomething. Like Tej, he’s especially passionate about youth voter registration...so take 2 minutes and register at your current address (for Tej!). Ben also loves karaoke and Anthony.
