Our programs draw on different models to help build community among our members and provide the necessary support for them to deepen their impact as civic leaders.
We gather young people online and in-person to spark dialogue, forge meaningful connections and help them explore their civic agency in a safe and trusted space.
We bring together members to learn from one another as a method for self-guided development as they work to build their own impact initiatives.
We support a select number of rising leaders with grants and ongoing mentorship to help them expand their impact and reach as changemakers.
FEATURED PROGRAMS
DoSomething members are equipping themselves with the knowledge and tools they need to improve recycling in their communities. Members are learning more about how to properly recycle plastic bottles in their neighborhoods, and using what their learning to make a lasting difference!
By gathering stories from young people across the U.S. about how they want to see their communities change, we are creating a National Youth Agenda. This agenda is sending a powerful message to candidates during this election year about what young people want to see them Do Something about.
Each year we support a new cohort of emerging civic leaders with grants and mentorship to help them scale an existing impact initiative they have successfully created in their community.
DoSomething members discover the challenges our communities face and engage in diverse service actions to collectively build healthier, more sustainable communities. Members have completed over 94,000 hours of service since the launch of Strength Through Service.
We are hosting events in New York, Wisconsin and Texas to support young people in using their civic voice to share what they want to see change and equipping them with the tools to do something to create a more just, equitable future in their community.
Our year-long virtual mental health camp is a safe place for young people to expand their self-care routines, build skills to support the wellbeing of their peers and develop their own mental health initiatives.
In partnership with The Leading Change Network, we are training members in becoming more effective movement builders through Public Narrative workshops where they learn principles from legendary organizer Marshall Ganz. Participants learn to shape their personal narratives to inspire and mobilize others to action.
In the United States, millions of people lack access to safe, clean drinking water. DoSomething is joining forces with the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) and young people across the country to research how to tackle environmental issues head-on, starting with water quality.
