How to Do Something About Gun Violence
If 2018 has showed us one thing it’s the power of young people to make change. Thanks to a student-led movement, at least 50 new gun laws have passed since the Parkland shooting. And with the highest youth voter turnout in a midterm in 25 years, young people have proven our power to impact our government by defeating 27 NRA-backed candidates and electing 150 candidates supported by Everytown for Gun Safety.
In the midterms, we elected new lawmakers in every state. Now they work for us. Demand that they pass smarter gun legislation to keep our schools and communities safer.
Tell us how you want the government to fight to end gun violence. We’ll deliver your opinions to your lawmakers as soon as they’re sworn in in January.
And stay tuned: We’ll give you new and impactful ways to demand better gun legislation throughout the year through our Do Something About Gun Violence campaign. Let’s Do This.
