Join TreePeople to expand our urban forest in areas that need it most! TreePeople is working across several cities in San Fernando Valley, South and Southeast LA, and the Inland Empire to plant and care for trees in communities that face some of our largest environmental challenges.

These neighborhoods are disproportionately impacted by extreme heat, poor air quality, and limited green space. Volunteers will spend the morning planting or caring for young 15-gallon street trees, helping with watering, mulching, staking, and other tasks to ensure their long-term survival and health. These trees will provide essential shade, improve air and water quality, reduce flooding, and help fight the impacts of climate change to make a real, lasting difference for the community and the environment.

Meeting Location: Provided in confirmation email after registering for the event

Parking: Residential parking near the meetup location. Carpooling is encouraged. Please observe all parking restrictions and traffic laws.

8:45am-9:00am: Sign in
9:00am – 12:00pm: Volunteer work

What we’ll be doing:

• Planting 15-gallon trees
• Building berms
• Mulching
• Watering
• Installing tree stakes

What volunteers should bring:

• Water bottle is required
• Comfortable clothing that can get dirty
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes
• Hat to provide shade
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen

Gloves, tools, water refills, and snacks will all be provided.
