Street Sweep cleanups are part of the Love Your Happy Place℠ campaign, a national and local coalition of nonprofit partners focused on creating cleaner and greener communities.

YOU Did That!

Thank you to all the young community leader who came out to the Love 5280℠ cleanup in Denver, CO to remove over 1,200 lbs of trash from Sunken Gardens Park!

Feb. 2026 | San Diego, CA

YOU DID THAT!

As part of the Love Your Happy Place℠ campaign, I Love A Clean San Diego and DoSomething partnered for a Valentine’s Day Cupid's Cleanup at Southcrest Recreation Center, in San Diego, CA.

88 volunteers helped to clean up over 877 pounds of trash and debris, and showed San Diego love by diverting litter from our watersheds and keeping it from traveling to the Pacific Ocean.

YOU DID THAT!

As part of the Love Your Happy Place℠ campaign, DoSomething, UC Berkeley, the City of Oakland, and Keep America Beautiful partnered for a Street Sweep cleanup in and around Mosswood Park.

Together, you helped to divert 750 pounds of litter from our watersheds and kept your streets and parks clean!

Thank you to all that showed up to give San Diego some love by joining an I Love a Clean San Diego and partners in a post-Labor Day cleanup, in and around Belmont Park. The event, as part of the Love Your Happy Place℠ campaign, included: free Love SD T-shirt giveaways for all volunteers and live music from iHeartRadio.

NYC Cleanups

Young changemakers joined us for Street Sweep clean-up events in New York City, to collectively remove trash from their streets and parks before it enters our waterways.

BROOKLYN SHOWED UP!

Thank you to all the DoSomething members and community leaders like Arnold Ludd + James Viafara, along with the support of the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office, and Council Member Chi Ossé, who showed up for their city to help clean up and around Fulton Park in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn.

Along with the Bronx Borough President’s office and NYC H2O, young people from across the city joined us to clean up the already beautiful Franz Sigel Park on 153rd St and Grand Concourse, as well as Walton Ave.

Together we kept 900 lbs of trash out of our shared waterways! Thank you to all the young changemakers who dedicated their time and service to make an impact. This event was made possible by the Love Your Happy Place℠ campaign.

WE DID THAT!

Along with the Manhattan Borough President’s office and Cloth, young people from across the city joined us to clean up the streets of 157th St to 165 & Broadway + 157th St to 162nd St & Amsterdam, around Ilka Tanya Payán Park.
