Hey,

Thank you SO much for participating in the Mental Note: Take Time For Yourself campaign!

103,518 DoSomething members signed up for this campaign and 65,787 men received access to crucial mental health resources which, honestly, is incredible.

Incredible Members

We had SO many members rock this campaign. Here are a few of the many, many standouts:

A diverse group of individuals stands together in a cozy indoor setting, holding up signs that promote volunteer and community service opportunities. The atmosphere conveys a spirit of collaboration and civic engagement.

Dnn, 21, says:

“As someone diagnosed with a visual impairment at the age of 9-10, I understand the true value of analyzing your mental health regularly. I had a year to two year depression spout at this time that I had no clue what was going on because no one ever talked to me about mental health. So, in seeing this opportunity, even if I don't win the scholarship, I was glad to bring it up to my male friends.”

Kyle, 20, says:

“This matters to me because recently we had a Citadel brother commit suicide last week here at The Citadel and it made me realize that we need to look out for each other. Not only that I saw how it affected the people that I care for the most here. So I took these cards and decided to do something about it and make sure they knew they mean the world to me.”

Scholarship Winner

DoSomething member Zachary earned the $2,500 scholarship by reminding his brother to practice self-care, connecting him with mental health resources, and letting him know that he’s always there to talk.

Zachary says:

“This scholarship is important to me because my brother has struggled with mental health in the past. I felt helpless when he was going through his rough patch, but now I can help other people who are having mental health issues. It is important to have someone there for you when you have a sibling, family member, or yourself is going through a rough patch to have someone to talk to and tell them it does get better.”

Introducing...our first-ever Mental Note Wall of Fame!

For the first time ever, we want to shout out those who went above and beyond the call-to-action by sharing cards with over 100(!!!) people in their lives:

A vibrant 'Wall of Fame' listing names and locations of individuals recognized for their community service and leadership contributions. This image highlights volunteer opportunities and civic engagement efforts, emphasizing inclusivity and shared achievements.

(Didn’t make the list? Don’t worry, by creating massive impact on our other active campaigns, you’ll have a chance to be featured in a future email.)
