Street Sweep

The certificate will include:

• Your name
• The name of the campaign you completed
• Details about the campaign
• Number of volunteer credit hours earned
• Date of completion
• A signature from a DoSomething staffer to verify your hours.

Approving photos can take up to two weeks (though it's usually much faster!) Once your photo is approved, we will email you when your certificate is ready to download from your profile.

Yes! We ask that members fill out forms to the best of their ability, and prefer that they send them as PDFs for quicker signoff. If using online verification systems like Mobileserve, or HelperHelper please email us ahead of time (using the volunteer@dosomething.org email) or list the email associated with your DoSomething account in the description. At the moment, we cannot take X2Vol requests.

While uploading your photo, you will be prompted to enter how long it took you to complete the action. (For Street Sweep, hours awarded will be 10 hours). This will be the time that will show up on your certificate. The number of hours you report should reflect the time it took you to complete the action. Please ensure that the number of hours you are reporting is accurate or your post will be rejected.

Just estimate how many hours it took you to actually complete the action. Take the average amount of minutes you spent per day on the action and multiply it by how many days it took you to complete the action.

For example: if you worked on organized a community cleanup, and spent 50 minutes a day picking up trash for 3 days, this would equal to 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes total.
