Texting, Snapping, Vlogging While Driving
Your friend answered three easy questions about your habits as a driver, passenger, pedestrian, or cyclist. Now they want to give you three clutch tips for staying safe on the road! Read this lil’ personal guide on avoiding snapping, texting, or vlogging behind the wheel.
1) Snap or text before you leave.
Set aside a few minutes to take care of things before you hit the road. More focus means better content...and a better chance of avoiding a costly typo. Then while driving you can focus on, ya know, driving.
2) Give your phone to a (trustworthy) friend.
Worried you’ll snap or text on the road? Give your phone to a friend who won’t let you get your hands on it ‘til you’re out of the vehicle. No friends in the car? Silence your phone and stick it in the glovebox on the passenger side where you can’t even reach it.
3) Make airplane mode vehicle mode.
Pretend like you’re on a plane and go into airplane mode before you leave the runway -- er, driveway. Heck, even pack yourself some lil’ pretzels to make the whole thing feel more real. Neck pillow optional.
