These 11 Young People Are Creating Greener Places to Play This Summer
Making the world a cleaner place, one piece of trash at a time.
Over 50 billion pieces of litter land on roads and in waterways each year. It costs our communities a lot of money to clean up, creates hazards on nearby roads, and washes into waterways. Plus, how are we supposed to practice and play in a place that’s covered in trash?
As part of NFL Huddle for 100, DoSomething and the NFL are activating young people to create cleaner and greener places to play across America. So far, DoSomething members have picked up 26,609 pieces of litter while cleaning up their communities. Take a look at their stories below, and consider accepting the challenge to Huddle Up in your own community.

“Trash is very easy to ignore. However, if everyone were to give into this urge, the Earth would be a terrible place to live.”
As a part of its centennial celebration, the NFL is promoting a nationwide volunteer effort called NFL Huddle for 100. The goal is to get 1 million people to donate 100 minutes of their time. Join a huddle for a cause you care about, help your community. and be a part of something great.
