Wavemakers Ambassador

Location: Dallas, TX • Denver, CO • Oakland/San Francisco, CA

Time Commitment: Approximately 5 hours/month

Program Duration: August 2026 - April 2027

Stipend: $1,800

DoSomething fuels young people to change the world. Through programming, leadership opportunities, and community action, we educate and equip young people to take action on the issues they care about most.

In partnership with Niagara Bottling and LOVE Your Happy Place campaign, we're recruiting eight youth leaders to serve as Wavemakers Ambassadors. These ambassadors will help inspire their peers to take action to recycle and clean up their community, and protect local waterways through clean-up activities while building stronger, cleaner communities.

Two (2) ambassadors will be selected from each of the following communities:

• Dallas
• Denver
• Oakland/San Francisco
• 4th Location TBD

DoSomething seeks passionate, community-minded young leaders to serve as Wavemakers Ambassadors throughout the campaign.

Wavemakers Ambassadors will mobilize their peers, promote environmental stewardship, and advance the goals of the LOVE Your Happy Place campaign through community engagement, local events, and digital advocacy. Ambassadors will receive training, mentorship, and coaching from the DoSomething staff and affiliate partners to help strengthen their leadership skills and maximize their impact.

We’re looking for young leaders who are:

• Passionate about environmental sustainability, recycling, and protecting waterways
• Committed to creating positive change in their communities
• Strong communicators and relationship builders
• Excited to engage and motivate peers to take action
• Interested in leadership, community organizing, advocacy, or content creation
• Able to manage responsibilities independently and meet deadlines

Experience with social media or content creation is a plus, but not required.

As an ambassador, you’ll receive:

Ready to become a Wavemakers Ambassador? To apply, you must:

• Be between the ages of 18–25
• Be a DoSomething member at the time of application
• Reside in or have strong ties to Dallas, Denver, Oakland/San Francisco
• Be available for the full program duration
