VOTER CATALYST NETWORK

The purpose of the Voter Catalyst Network (VCN) is to build a community of young people who will learn about the political and voter registration process, use their knowledge to inform and encourage others to exercise their right to vote, and ensure their voices are heard.

• Through the VCN, you will be trained by experts to register voters and host voter registration drives as well as help people create a full-proof voting plan

• Participate in civic training and be in community with others who have a passion for civic engagement.

• The program aims to foster peer-to-peer voter registration, increasing youth voter turnout and engagement, especially as young people are projected to make up the majority of the voting population in four years. If you join the VCN you will get a chance to advocate for issues, connect with peers, expand your civic knowledge, and access tools to take action for a better tomorrow.

As a Voter Captain, you'll attend onboarding and voter education meetings, ensuring you're well-prepared for your role. Your main task involves planning and hosting at least one voter registration event to encourage participation. Additionally, you'll actively engage within the Voter Captain Network, sharing best practices and networking with peers to drive voter engagement. Through your efforts, you'll play a vital role in empowering individuals to exercise their right to vote and foster a culture of civic responsibility.

• A Voter Captain leads the organizing and hosting of voter registration events.

• Civic Representatives serve as local leaders representing the VCN in their states, acting as the face of the network. In addition to hosting events, they have additional responsibilities such as hosting monthly office hours for voter captains, attending professional development meetings and training, and regularly checking and responding to communication channels.

• Civic Representatives also enjoy perks such as payment for participation in national leadership activities, a budget for hosting voter registration events, specialized leadership training, and a featured spot on the DoSomething website as a contact for those interested in voter registration drives and civic engagement events.

The VCN welcomes youth and young adults aged 16-25 who are passionate about shaping America's future. Whether you have previous experience or are new to leadership roles, all are encouraged to join and develop their skills. As part of the VCN, members collaborate as team players, committed to building community and making a meaningful impact on one of the most consequential elections of our time.

Even if you're under 16, you can still participate in the voter registration drive by taking on an Election Organizer title, where you contribute to the drive's execution. You can fulfill various supportive roles like Location Scout, Volunteer Manager, Training Captain, or Supply Manager, helping ensure the drive's success.
